Dedicated Coaches Making a Lasting Impact

At T3 Adaptive Racquet Sports, our coaches are more than instructors. They are mentors, advocates, and champions for every athlete who picks up a racquet. With decades of combined experience and a shared passion for adaptive sports, Kirk and Keith Orahood bring a unique blend of technical expertise, teaching excellence, and heartfelt commitment to the athletes and families they serve. We are proud to announce a new member to our coaching staff, Steve Bunch, who will be coaching wheelchair pickleball in the South Bay area.

Welcome Aboard, Steve!

Kirk Orahood

RSPA / USPTA Certified Tennis and Pickleball Pro

For over 47 years, Kirk has been a leader in Orange County tennis, guiding players of all levels from their first swings to national championships. After playing #1 at Golden West College, Kirk transitioned to coaching under the mentorship of world-ranked doubles player Mark Elliott. His career spans roles at Park Newport, Tustin Hills Racquet Club, and Mesa Verde Country Club, where he helped develop players like Michael Briggs, a USTA national champion and ATP doubles pro, and Devin Bowen, now assistant men’s coach at TCU.

Beyond competitive success, Kirk has always emphasized growth, opportunity, and inclusivity. For the past 17 years, he served as Tennis Director and Head Coach at JSerra Catholic High School, leading one of the county’s most successful “No Cut” programs. Off the court, Kirk is most proud of raising his children, Hunter and Taylor, both former D1 collegiate athletes, and enjoys photography, music, biking, and hanging with his grandson, Walker, in Montrose, CO.

Keith Orahood

RSPA / USPTA Certified Tennis Pro
USTA Certified Wheelchair Coach

Keith has been coaching alongside his brother for 17 years, bringing both technical insight and a supportive, approachable style. A multi-sport athlete at Edison High School and Golden West College, Keith combined his love of athletics with academic studies in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and motor learning at CSU-Fullerton. His training with renowned experts Dr. Michael Yessis and Vic Braden shaped his ability to analyze and refine technique using biomechanics and film study, skills that continue to elevate his coaching today.

Keith’s athletes know him for his ability to break down complex movements in a way that is both fun and easy to understand. Currently, Keith is teaching private and group lessons at San Juan Hills High School, combined with wheelchair tennis at the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion in Mission Viejo.  He lives in San Clemente with his wife, Myra, and enjoys time with his daughter Brittany, son-in-law Joshua, grandchildren Dorian, Amoret, and Ronan,  and golden retriever, Winifred. Outside of tennis, Keith can often be found at the beach, reading, or experimenting with his Traeger grill.

Steve Bunch

Steve Bunch brings energy, encouragement, and a real love of the game to his role as a Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certified Pickleball Coach with T3 Adaptive Racquet Sports. He has been coaching adaptive players of all ages in wheelchair pickleball at Angel City Sports events since 2025, helping athletes build skills, confidence, and joy on the court.

Steve first connected with T3 Wheelchair Tennis in 2023 through its clinics in Mission Viejo. Then, during an Angel City Sports weekend in Torrance in 2025, he discovered pickleball — and he’s been hooked ever since. That enthusiasm has translated into competitive success. In October 2025, Steve earned a bronze medal in Wheelchair Pickleball Singles at the Spooky Spokes Tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio. A month later, he added another bronze medal in Wheelchair Pickleball Doubles at the USA Pickleball Nationals at Barnes Tennis Center.

Off the court, Steve is a commercial pilot with more than 3,500 flight hours and has most recently flown cargo in Northern California — proof that whether he’s in the air or on the court, he knows how to stay focused, adaptable, and ready for anything.

As T3 continues to grow its adaptive racquet sports programming, Steve is excited to welcome new players, share his love of pickleball, and help make the sport more accessible, competitive, and fun for athletes of all abilities.

"We are very fortunate to have Steve on our team. There are very few certified coaches who coach in a chair. His knowledge and experience are invaluable for our students. Welcome aboard, Captain!”
